More than a dozen brothers from Kappa Alpha Psi’s Charlotte Alumni Chapter participated in a book service project organized by The Open Book Foundation at Renaissance West STEAM Academy in Charlotte, NC.
The project was designed to bring new books and book cases to the classrooms in the school. Volunteers assembled book cases and moved books into classrooms.
The Open Book Foundation was created with a simple mission: “Bridge the literacy gap amongst low-income elementary schools”. We accomplish this mission by purchasing and donating new books to Title I elementary schools and community organizations with a literacy emphasis.
